Spring Basket using Scallop Envelope

This is Easter basket time of year, so I made this practicing for the upcoming holiday. This is from a tutorial on SCS using the SU Scallop Envelope die. I made this as "custom packaging" for a friend at work that ordered a couple mini glue dot boxes. Two of the boxes fit inside this perfectly. She just also happened to have previously purchased the scallop circle punch, A to Z background stamp, and some buttons, so thought I'd show her some ways to use the toys I already know she owns.

I added a couple more small flowers to the sides where the brass brads are on the finished item, but like these photos best and added them to the latest Pals Paper Arts Anything But a Card challenge.

The Pretties flower was dyed with some certainly celery re-inker. You can barely make out the A to Z alphabet stamping I did on the scallop circle flower. So I took a close up...

Happy St Patricks Day!

Seems the only things green around here are the faces of all the sick co-workers & loved ones around me today. Hope you are feeling well if you're reading this!

Also wanted to share what is hopefully a "before" shot of my messy work space here in the Craftatorium... Underneath the junk with my work bag, items to return to an on-line store, old mail, etc. is a lovely crafting table and work space. MAYBE I'll get to post a tidy, decorated "after" pic one day... I'm so jealous of my stamper pal Marsha's space it has inspired me to get on top of this soon! Her space is FABULOUS!

What to do at 2am....

Okay... it's been awhile since I've been awake at this time of day. Poor dog isn't feeling well & while I can hear him & take him outside in middle of the night, lucky husband sleeps thru these episodes, hmmmm.... SO, I'm taking a moment to post.

Here is an Easter card I made. I used the chocolate bunny & solid stripes stamps. The Easter eggs are actually just large oval punch shapes tucked into the basket. I love the fact that I finally have a nice craft/work light in my space now so hopefully the color combos I find will finally be better (now that I can see the true colors)!

Hope everyone else is sleeping soundly! Good night!

Puppy video!

Okay, so I cannot resist adding some new video (I have other posts below, if you want to see latest crafty stuff)... Still my puppy is approaching his first birthday. Before he went in for his neutering appointment, I decided we needed a "then & now" moment on video... have a video of when he was first learning to climb stairs, then just a couple weeks ago took another to show his progress (and growth)! These videos maybe a little dark, but hope you'll enjoy...

Easter is just around the corner!

Gotta a few birthdays and other occasions to think of this month, but yes, EASTER is just around the corner in early April! I love the chocolate bunny stamp, so made a couple Itty Bitty Boxes with an Easter theme. I used a 'fan' type technique behind the bunny. That was a little more labor involved than I thought, but I figured out a short cut (who needs to score all the lines? just fold away!). However, the fan-like adornment didn't pass the "hubby" test, so future Easter boxes will likely be a little different (husband is a pretty good critic, but nothing too girlie generally passes with an approval). Let me know what you think!

And I thought we had it all figured out...

Okay, It's official. I'm Indecisive. Yes, indecisive with a capital I. We chose a color from all the small samples I had (I had a LOT...). Painted a wall, stared at it a week, and don't like it. SO... back to the drawing board! Literally... we're back to painting swatches of color on the wall. New colors arrived at local Home Depot so maybe one of those is "it"... we'll see. Wish me luck. I can't handle painting much more than this, but it will be done one day & I'll be glad.

Getting a little craft time in now as maybe that's just the break I need!

Love my craft buddy!
