I asked for this Busy Buddy toy when my puppy was small, but only recently has he's really been "mature" enough to figure it out. Of course he chewed off part of the toy first, but it still works when he spins & topples it - food comes flying out. He's getting faster so at least he can grab a treat before it flies off the deck to the yard below!
Enjoy this little bit of play.... you know how much I love my dog, so had to share!

Okay, I'm NOT an organized or tidy person. Just ask my husband! But a little organization goes a long way. So proud that it's been a WEEK since I straightened and organized my craft space & it still looks like this! HOORAY! My project table can look like... a project table again!
I also just started hanging things on the walls in the house. We've been in this house just over a year, so it's about time! I chose 4 bright summer colors: SU! Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie (ok that color looks summer-y to me, even if the name is not!), Summer Sun and Melon Mambo in 12x12 cardstock, decorated each page with 4 Lattice die cutouts in black, then framed them in scrapbook frames for my first craft room decor. I hope I get a chance to do a little more decorating over the holiday weekend. Have a great day, everyone!
I want to make more cards for the troops whenever I see a posting for organizations who send these out, so this month's holiday, this month's SCS Cards for a Cause for Operation Write Home, sending cards of appreciation to our military personnel overseas, PLUS the latest Pals Paper Arts challenge, PPA 43, seems just the best inspiration. The stamp set I used here is SU! Service & Sacrifice set, perfect for the occasion, too.
If you have lost someone in service, I hope you feel some comfort over the holiday. For those who have loved ones in the military now, you have my utmost respect and admiration for having such an honorable & brave family.
Hope everyone has a nice holiday.

"Cute as a bug." Not so sure about this phrase now that I think about some of the creepy crawlies trying to infest my home lately that I've had to squish! I'm sure I've used the phrase before, but when I stamped the phrase for this card, it made me wonder if my new mom-friend would think of her child this way or not!? Well, maybe not, but this little bug is cute as a...???
I've seen some beautiful sewing on cards, so had to try it myself. Here's my lame sewing attempt... I don't own a sewing machine & pretty sure my worst grade in school was probably from 7th grade Home Ec sewing class, so I was proud of trying this at least. I paper pierced holes best I could then stitched 'em up with some embroidery floss. Since I am aware of my own limitations, I kept the sewing to just the 2 corners. I really like the cardstock buttons my sis made me from her Sizzlets die (I've hoarded them for almost a year it seems) so they were perfect for the other 2 corners to go with the sewing 'theme'.
The stamps are from SU! Love Bug set (a hostess set). I double stamped the bug buggy as it just seemed to need 4 blueberry wheels to be really practical (silly, I know)! I paper pieced the second buggy & curled the leaf a bit. I added some crystal effects & a little glitter for some sparkle.
So rainy here lately, I expect I'll be crafting some more this weekend. Have a good one!

I've seen so many great three dimensional flowers made from different SU! punch shapes that I just had to try this. Mine still looks like a work in progress, but I'm getting there...
The flower added to this alterable tin (covered with some Presto Patterns Specialty paper sponged with Bashful Blue ink and then layered on some Bashful Blue cardstock) is layered scallop circles crinkled after lightly misting with water. You cannot tell from the digital pic, but it is also spritzed with glitter spray. I added a little blue center flower from the boho blossoms punch, and blue leaves are from the large bird punch. It helps to sponge edges a bit to add dimension, but I tend to end up sponging more of my fingers than the paper when I do that! I guess that is a good reason for me to be an Operation Inky Paws member, eh?
I didn't have a plan yet for a gift for my mom, so think this alterable tin with a nice gift card & some crafty doo-dads will do nicely. I also found it perfect to add to the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week, PPA 40 for Monochromatic Blues.
